Advertising Policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

CardArt sells a small number of clearly labelled ad placements directly to advertisers. This policy sets the rules for every ad: what you can promote, what the creative must follow, how we review it and how payment works. By booking an ad you agree to it and to our Terms of Service.

Who can advertise

  • You need a CardArt account, must be at least 18, and must be able to enter into a contract for yourself or the business you represent.
  • Give accurate details: the name shown on the ad, a contact email and the category that fits your product. If you give the legal name of the person or company paying, it must be accurate too; licensed card issuers and crypto cards must give it (see below).
  • You must own what you promote, or be authorised by its owner to advertise it.
  • We may ask for proof of identity, authorisation or licences at any time, and may decline any advertiser.

Where ads appear

Ads appear only in the placements listed on Advertise: the cards on the home page, one card in the Explore grid, a sponsor line on card pages, the guide sidebar and the site footer. Each placement shows one advertiser at a time (up to four for the back cards on the home page). There are no ads in the maker, uploads, settings, account pages, notifications, comments or profiles.

Everyone viewing a page in the same country sees the same ads. We don’t target ads at individuals, and advertisers can’t choose who sees them.

What you can advertise

Ads must fit one of these categories: apps and tools, design tools and assets, Wallet and pass tools, independent products, digital banks, licensed card issuers, crypto cards, or other products and services that comply with this policy. Choose the category that honestly describes what you promote.

Card issuers and crypto cards

Licensed card issuers and crypto cards are allowed with extra conditions:

  • Give the issuer’s legal name and its licence or registration details (regulator, number and where it applies). The legal name is shown on the ad card.
  • Crypto card ads aren’t shown to visitors in mainland China or the United Kingdom, or when we can’t tell the visitor’s country. We may add other places where local rules require it.
  • Don’t promise returns, interest, rebates or “free money”, and don’t promote buying or trading crypto.
  • Card network logos (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, JCB, American Express) are allowed only in these two categories, and only if you’re licensed to use them.

What’s not allowed

We don’t accept ads for, or ads that link to:

  • crypto exchanges, token sales, airdrops, and yield, staking or investment products;
  • gambling, betting and lotteries;
  • adult or sexual content, weapons and drugs;
  • political or religious content;
  • loans, debt services, buy-now-pay-later sign-ups and multi-level marketing;
  • anything that impersonates Apple, a bank, a card network or another brand;
  • phishing, malware, or anything illegal where the ad is shown;
  • other ad networks, link shorteners, redirectors or redirect chains.

Creative rules

  • No card numbers or anything that looks like one, and no QR codes or barcodes.
  • You may say in plain words that your product works with Apple Wallet or Apple Pay. No Apple logo, Apple Pay mark, “Add to Apple Wallet” badge or wording, and no claim that Apple partners with, certifies or endorses you.
  • No card network logos unless you’re a licensed advertiser as described above.
  • No fake interface: no fake close or download buttons, system dialogs, notifications or Wallet screens.
  • No misleading claims, such as guaranteed returns, “free money”, false urgency or prices you won’t honour.
  • No links, email addresses or phone numbers in ad text. The ad’s own link does that job.
  • English copy is required. Other languages are optional and must say the same thing.
  • Use only images, logos and fonts you have the right to use, and keep the top-right corner of card ads clear for the label.

Landing pages

  • The link must be a normal https address that opens your page directly: no link shorteners, redirectors or other ad networks.
  • The page must be on the domain you declare (subdomains are fine), load normally and match what the ad says.
  • Don’t show our review a different page from visitors, start downloads automatically, or collect card details or passwords under false pretences.
  • Unless you turn it off, we add utm_source=cardart, utm_medium=ad and utm_campaign=(placement) to your link. We add no other tracking.
  • We recheck the links of running ads every day. If a link stops passing our checks, the ad is paused until it’s fixed.

How ads are labelled

  • Every ad carries a visible label in the visitor’s language: 广告 (Simplified Chinese), 廣告 (Traditional Chinese), AD (English), 広告 (Japanese), 광고 (Korean), Anzeige (German) or Anuncio (Spanish). We add it ourselves, and it can’t be removed or covered.
  • Ad links open in a new tab and are marked as sponsored (rel="sponsored").
  • Advertisers choose whether tapping a card ad opens their site straight away in a new tab or first shows an ad card; tapping the label on a sponsor line also shows the card. It gives the advertiser’s name and domain, a link to their site, who paid (when that differs from the advertiser’s name), a link to this policy and a way to report the ad.

Review

  • Every ad is reviewed before you can pay. Automated checks look at the link (https, domain, and malware and phishing blocklists) and the text, and an AI model reviews the images and copy.
  • Most ads get a result within minutes. Uncertain cases go to a person on our team, usually within 1 business day.
  • If an ad is rejected, we tell you why. You can edit and resubmit it.
  • Editing an approved ad sends it back for review. Approval isn’t an endorsement, and an approved ad can still be removed later under this policy.

Booking and scheduling

  • Ads are booked in UTC days: by the day (1–30), week (7 days, 1–12) or month (30 days, 1–3). Each day runs from 00:00 to 24:00 UTC.
  • The first day can be any day from tomorrow (UTC) up to 90 days ahead, and the placement must have room on every day.
  • If your first day is tomorrow and the placement still has room today, your ad goes live as soon as payment is confirmed, with the rest of today free; billing still starts at 00:00 UTC on your first day. This depends on room being left when payment is confirmed; otherwise the ad starts at 00:00 UTC on your first day as booked.
  • Your dates are held while you pay (about an hour) and booked once payment is confirmed. The ad starts and ends automatically.
  • If your payment is confirmed after your dates were released and booked by someone else, you pick new dates at no extra cost.

Prices and payment

  • Prices are in US dollars and listed on Advertise. The price shown at checkout is final for that booking; we may change prices for future bookings.
  • You pay in advance with crypto through Infini, our payment processor: USDT, USDC or another currency and network its checkout offers. We don’t accept cards or bank transfers.
  • Each payment link is valid for 1 hour. Pay the full amount; network fees are yours. Partial and late payments are handled by hand — email us.
  • Once a month’s sales reach our limit, we may stop taking bookings for that month.
  • You’re responsible for any taxes that apply to you.

Refunds

  • Payments are made in advance and aren’t refundable except as below.
  • If your ad doesn’t run on booked days for reasons on our side (for example an outage, or we withdraw a placement), we refund the missed days pro rata in USDT to a wallet address you give us, or move them to new dates if you prefer.
  • Review always happens before payment, so a rejected ad never costs anything.
  • There’s no refund if an ad is paused or removed for breaking this policy, or if you change your mind after paying.

Removal and changes

  • We may reject, pause or remove any ad at any time if it breaks this policy or the law, if its landing page changes or fails our checks, or if we receive a credible complaint. We may also suspend the advertiser’s account.
  • You’re responsible for your ad, your landing page and your product, including the advertising, consumer protection and financial rules where the ad is shown.
  • We may update this policy. Changes apply to bookings made after the update.

Advertiser data and reporting

  • From advertisers we keep account details, the names, contact email, category and licence details you enter, the link, the creative, review results, and payment records (amount, status, time and the transaction details Infini reports, such as network and transaction hash).
  • We use them to review and run your ad, take payment, handle refunds and disputes, and meet legal duties to keep advertiser records.
  • On your ad’s page you see daily totals of impressions (at least half the ad visible for one second), ad card opens and clicks. We don’t collect data about individual visitors, so we never share any.
  • More in our Privacy Policy.
